Embark on an unforgettable 2-day, 1-night trekking adventure to the Tembesi Crater Rim (2,850 m)—the highest crater rim in Rinjani National Park and one of the closest viewpoints to the majestic Gunung Baru Jari volcano.
Starting from Timbanuh Village (750 m above sea level), the trail takes you through lush tropical forests filled with fresh mountain air and diverse wildlife. Along the way, you’ll discover beautiful forest vegetation before reaching the open alpine landscape.
Eventually, by late afternoon, you will arrive at the spectacular Tembesi Crater Rim campsite, perfectly positioned between Segara Anak Lake and Gunung Baru Jari.
Here, you can admire a breathtaking sunset over the crater while enjoying panoramic views of Mount Rinjani and the shimmering lake below. Afterward, spend a peaceful night under the stars before waking up to a tranquil mountain sunrise. Finally, trek back down to Timbanuh Village and continue your journey to Tetebatu Village.

Standard Package
The Standard Package is designed for trekkers who are already familiar with mountain hiking and basic camping equipment.
Although the facilities are simple, they remain comfortable for outdoor adventures. In addition, this package is commonly chosen by participants joining sharing groups with trekkers from different countries.
Accommodation usually consists of a shared tent for two people with a standard camping mattress. Likewise, meals and drinks are prepared according to the group’s trekking schedule.
Deluxe Package
The Deluxe Package offers a significantly higher level of comfort.
For example, you’ll enjoy premium camping equipment including:

- Thick mattress
- Pillow

Moreover, meals can be customized according to your preferences.

2D1N Rinjani Tembesi Summit via Timbanuh
Arrival Day (Day 0)
Upon your arrival on Lombok Island, our team will warmly welcome you before transferring you to Tetebatu Village, approximately 2–3 hours away in a private air-conditioned vehicle.
After checking into your hotel, you’ll meet your trekking guide for a detailed briefing covering:
- Trekking route
- Safety procedures
- Equipment
- Weather information
- Program overview
The remainder of the day is free for you to relax.
Day 1 – Trekking to Tembesi Crater Rim
After breakfast, we drive approximately 30 minutes to Timbanuh National Park Entrance.
At around 8:00 AM, your trekking adventure officially begins.
First, the trail passes through dense tropical rainforest where you’ll cross rivers and forest paths before reaching Pos 1.
Along the route, you’ll discover:
- Giant tropical trees
- Moss-covered forests
- Wild vegetables
- Rich biodiversity
After approximately three hours, you’ll arrive at Pos 2 for lunch and a one-hour rest.
Next, continue trekking for another two hours to Pos 3 (Cemara Nunggala).
Here you’ll enjoy snacks and fresh fruit while relaxing in the beautiful savanna landscape.
Afterward, the final ascent takes approximately 1.5 hours toward Tembesi Crater Rim (2,850 m).
Upon arrival, enjoy spectacular panoramic views including:
- Segara Anak Lake
- Gunung Baru Jari Volcano
- Mount Rinjani
- Sumbawa Island
- Amazing sunset scenery
Finally, return to the campsite where dinner is served before spending the night in comfortable tents.
Day 2 – Return Trek
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast while appreciating the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
Then, begin your descent toward Pos 2.
After approximately 1.5 hours, continue hiking to Pos 1 where you’ll take a short break before lunch.
Following lunch, continue trekking down to Timbanuh Village.
Our driver will then transfer you back to your hotel in Tetebatu for a shower and changing clothes.
Finally, we’ll drive you to your next destination anywhere on Lombok Island.
